Can someone share their very good yet very reasonable hair stylist in NYC with me?

I've been living in the city for 6+ years now, and found a wonderful stylist at Vidal Sassoon but she is really too pricey for me $200/cut. I was hoping to be let in on a great stylist for less (more around $60-%26amp;75 range)...can anyone help?

i know it is very expensive in nyc...and she is true thats what we do raise our prices because we start to get overbooked and we would rather have the people that would pay instead of someone who doesnt i mean we have to make a living so here is what i will suggest go to the sub-urbs and find either a super cuts, a fantastic sams, a cost cutters this is how you will find a haircut for cheep remember you get what you pay for

here's the problem with your question:

let's say i work in n.y. and charge $70 and i do your hair. you tell your friend who becomes my client. that person tells someone else what a good job i did and becomes my client. soon, my client base becomes so large that there isn't enough time in the day to do every one's hair; so my prices go up to 'get rid of' ( i know how horrible that sounds) some clients so i can have time to do what i need to do for clients with appointments.

does this make sense?

so when you find someone with good prices who does good job you keep your mouth shut.(so you can have an appointment)
