24 hours ago I had two feet long, thick, wavy blonde hair... and now I look like Bon Jovi circa 1984. The stylist gave me a "trendy" Asian shag haircut that somewhat resembles a mullet-- very short layers on top, with some hair left long, yet extremely thinned out, in the back.... which might be OK if my hair was stick straight. But it is naturally wavy and the billions of shaggy layers look wonky when it air dries (as usual). What can I do? How can I fix this? A soft perm, extensions, give in and cut it short...? I like my hair full, natural, and low-maintenance (think Kate Hudson).
I'm really considering extensions but know nothing about them (and I'm a poor college student). Any advice would be appreciated.
With straight styled hair, it kinda looks like: http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee77/...
With my wavy Caucasian hair, it turns into: http://www.hecklerspray.com/imppix/photo...

Ohmgg holy crap I'm sorry to hear that, my stylist hacked my hair once too, I quit letting her cut it lol, try getting a really good straightener i think if it were straight it would look cute. But if you want your long hair back again get extensions FROM A DIFFERENT STYLIST!!!!!!!!!!!! Then once that's done go scream a bit at the one who hacked your hair lol ;p good luck super sorry xoxo

What a tragedy!
But why in the world did you sit there and let her do it ?
Were you unconscious, intoxicated, bound and gaged, held at gun point ???
Did you say ... B-L-O-N-D-E as in ... the jokes?

I think hair extension is a great idea. Go on line, they have affordable one that you can buy.

Go to a different salon, and maybe get the long parts cut off. Don't worry, you'd look good with a short cut.

Oh no! Poor you - that happened to me five years ago when I had long hair! You need to be more firm with your stylist next time. Or go to a different one. As for dealing with it, you could buy a pair of straighteners so it actually looks good in that style (although by the sound of it you probably can't afford it).
Or tie it up in a bun or something until the layers grow out (my hair grows about an inch every two months so it won't take forever).
Or, as you say, have it cut short - or shorter just so it looks better. Again, hair grows pretty quickly so soon enough you'll be able to have it long and full again.
I personally wouldn't recommend extensions. They are expensive for one thing and they can actually damage your hair. You also have to replace them every few months as they fall out. More expense...
Anyway good luck!

I think it looks relly nice, kinda indie style. Stick it out, straighten religiously and just have it a ponytail for a while.
