Hair Stylists: Hair suggestions for guys with natural blonde straight hair?

What are some different ways that guys with naturally blonde straight hair can cut/wear their hair.

Hair Stylists: Hair suggestions for guys with natural blonde straight hair?

Here are some styles that might interest you, whether you are opting for a short or long style:

Short styles suit most men. It takes a confident guy to pull off a longer style and if you do go long, don't go too long in between shoulder blade and chin.

SHORT: Go for the Ewan McGregor look, it's hot sexy and very flirty, this hair style requires gel and is basically a short messy bed head look ask your stylist for the Ewan McGregor.

* (low maintenance)

SOMETHING DIFFERENT: You are blonde, try going darker and keep it short and simple - like the Brad Pitt, he always looks hot and this is a hot look. Right now brad's hair is darker but still short.

* (low maintenance)

LONGER: Depending on how long your hair is try for a shaggy do - but stay away from mohawks or mullets, no matter what these trends should never be followed. They say they are back in but I would stay away. A longer hair cut would be something like Tom Cruise when he was in mission impossible II, Johnny Depp or Ace Young from American Idol - even though your hair is straight you can use products like pomade and other gels to get the look.

Good Luck!

shave it, shave it all!

just kidding

Straightening hair?

I've been straightening my hair a lot ( I know it's bad for your hair) ever since I went to the hair salon and they straightened my hair. Whenever I go to the hair salon to cut/trim my hair, they always need to straighten it. They make it perfectly straight, but whenever I straighten it at home, my hair becomes straight, but kind of poofy. At the hair salon, they make my hair straight like Miley Cyrus' in her new "Start All Over Again" video. At home, it doesn't lay really straight. It just lays straight with a lot of volume. I know that celebrities get hair stylist to do their hair, but how can I straighten my hair so that it would lay flat. Do I use a brush, and blowdry it, or what?

Straightening hair?

I use a Chi flat iron.

I also use Chi Iron Guard. It is a thermal protection spray.

Straightening hair?

i think they use a lot of hairspray and mousse and that kinda stuff

Straightening hair?

Ask the hair dresser what products they are using, try them. Also the straightener that you are using at home may not get hot enough.

Straightening hair?

Use Loreal Hot Straight. It protects your hair from damage and it weighs it down. My hair is very poofy but when I use this before I straighten my hair, it gets flat, but not greasy and stuck to my head.

Or use a lot of conditioner in the shower. That weighs my hair down, too.

Straightening hair?

cause there pros

Straightening hair?

Use a creramic plate strightner they work the best make sure it's on high not low and use a spray on your hair like silk drops before touching your hair with the hot iron! Good luck!

Straightening hair?

You need to get a better flat iron. THey're not cheap, but a good ceramic, like the ion pink, will do wonders for your hair.

Straightening hair?

There are several hair slickening/straightening creams on the market. You'll have to find the one that works best with your particular hair. After applying, use a Chi hair straightener. This type of straightener will not only make your hair very, very st raight but also helps with the frizz that causes the "poof" you're talking about.

Straightening hair?

i start by blowdryn in sections and straighten as i dry, using some straightening spray/flattening out spray, they have a few cheap ones at wamart that are ok, like herbal ess. once im on the top layer, just flat iron straight down, then finish w/some shine spray, dont use a natural bristle brush, that will make it frizzy.

Straightening hair?

u will never be able to get ur hair to look how the hairdressers make it look coz they r pros i wuld use good GHD straightners nd ask hairdressers wot protucts they use to give it tht volume xx good luck

Straightening hair?

my friend always used an iron to straighen her hair. She has the same probs!

Straightening hair?

go to your stylist and see what kind/brand of straightener it is and ask them to show you how to do it

Straightening hair?

I always wondered the same thing and the last time was at my salon I asked my stylist...She said to make sure to do it in sections and to make sure that when blow drying that you start at the root and make sure it is very dry before going onto the next section.

She told me that alot of people focus on the mid to bottom section of their hair when getting the root dry is most important. Use a ceramic brush for that and then you wont need to use the flat iron as much...just in touch up spots....Since she told me this my hair has been coming out alot better!

Straightening hair?

I just got a straightener for christmas. When i first do it my hair is kind of poofy but it becomes super straight in the next half an hour. I use remington wet 2 straight straightner. You can use it e=when your hair is wet, but i dont it could really damagde your hair. First i blow dry my hair. i start this when my hair is half dry, it cuts down drying time. I make a deep side part and blow dery that. then a make a deep side part on the other side. To make sure everything is dry i flip my head upside down and dry. Then i put my hair in a half up ponytail and straighten the bottom part. then i take th epont tail down and straighten the top. it works really well. just mke sure you put non frizz stuff before you blowdry it.

What product can I use to spike my hair without it looking wet?

Today I had my hair cut short and the stylist spiked it using Bedhead pomade, and it is the grossest stuff ever. I think I would even be happy with my new do if it weren't for that stuff. It feels greasy and tacky, and looks wet. What other product is good for spiking hair without leaving looking wet? I like it to look stick out and look "big", but not WET. Thanks.

What product can I use to spike my hair without it looking wet?

Easy. Use a 'Transforming Paste' by Aquage, crazy hold and has a matte finish. A wax product will mostly cause shine, and a gel will stiffen. A strong paste is the best solution to really get that spike all day.

What product can I use to spike my hair without it looking wet?

my mom is a hairstylist..she suggests hair wax

What product can I use to spike my hair without it looking wet?

use aveda mouse

What product can I use to spike my hair without it looking wet?

geltin, it's used when you make jam, it's dry add water apply it's not sweet it held mohalks in the 80's

What product can I use to spike my hair without it looking wet?

gariner fructis super stiff gel or fiber gum putty.

What product can I use to spike my hair without it looking wet?

Hair wax works the best. by BF uses it and it looks great without being greasy

What product can I use to spike my hair without it looking wet?

Redken makes a great product called REWIND. I love this stuff and use it everyday for the past 5 years. You should try it! Smells great too!

HELP! what's the best solution for fly-away and dry hair?

you see i just had my haircut today..i had it layered.. my hair stylist told me that the tips of my hair are dry.. and after she cut my hair, it became fly-away..

HELP!!

any home solutions for these problems?

HELP! what's the best solution for fly-away and dry hair?

A little Static Guard sprayed on your brush can help with flyaway, but it doesn't smell great. Frizz Ease or Alberto V05 Hot Oil Treatment can help with dry hair.

HELP! what's the best solution for fly-away and dry hair?

to start, if she said your ends are dry, maybe you need to cut your hair just a little shorter....

but other than that, i would start by using leave in conditioner, and then get a frizz syrum or "smoothing milk" or something along those lines.

Products and suggestions for hair growth?

I went to get my hair cut yesterday, showing the stylist a layered, shoulder length style in a magazine that I loved. I specifically said, "I want this, but I want to keep my length." Well, long story short, she misunderstood and a second before I realized what she was doing, 8 inches of hair was cut off. I haven't had shoulder length hair since I was 12 and I'm used to loooong big hair like Eva Mendes. I'm soooo unhappy! and I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding in about 3 weeks. My hair already grows really fast- just over an inch a month- but I want to try a product that may speed this up. Even another inch would make me feel better!

Thanks!!!

Products and suggestions for hair growth?

Prenatal Vitamins

Products and suggestions for hair growth?

You can't take anything or do anything to make your hair grow faster than its genetically programmed to grow (except maybe get pregnant lol but dont do that just to have longer hair)..

Vitamins with biotin like GNC sells claim to promote 'healthy hair growth', but thats about it. Anything that you buy that claims to grow hair is just a scam. Jojoba oil on your scalp and vitamins will help the hair you do grow out grow out healthy and stronger than before, but nothing till make your hair grow faster.

Is a shag cut good for thin hair?

when I was little I had seizures that came with fevers of 105. This ended up burning my roots of my hair leaving me with thin hair. It's not bald but I am still self conscious about it. I am only 37 and I would like to get a fashionable cut. I just don't know which one would be best for me. I am thinking I would like a shoulder brushing shag cut. I like that shaggy movable look with very little maintenance. I am skeptical about beauty salons because when I get in the chair the stylist always feels the need to tease my hair and I end up leaving with a beehive. Help....

Is a shag cut good for thin hair?

PERFECT

Beauty Salons only tease old ladies hair now. The styles are wash and wear. Check out these sites:

latest-hairstyles.com

bosshairstyles.com

beautifulhairstyles.com

Is a shag cut good for thin hair?

Short hair cuts are GREAT for thin hair. Since the hair is shorter, it weighs less thus giving you the ability to achieve lots and lots of volume at the top, giving you the appearance of having fuller hair. The shaggy movable cut you're talking about sounds perfect.

Is a shag cut good for thin hair?

yes, infact i have a shag cut.and my hairs are very thin.and then also i look cool.i am giving u a tips-massage your hairs after bathing,by this your hairs will look stylish.try it.

Is a shag cut good for thin hair?

i totally support the shag idea it sounds really cute!! Find a hair stylist that knows what he/she is doing and tell them exactly what you want or they will do what they want haha. You might want to bring in a picture of what you want too.

Donating my hair?

How do i find a hair stylist in my area that particiapates in donating my hair to locks of love.Im determind to cut my hair within the next few days just for this reason!

I live in sacramento california.

thanks for all answers.

Donating my hair?

The locks of love website no longer provides a list of salons, I have NO idea why they stopped doing that. The site says to look for the decal for locks of love in the window of the salon. But obviously driving around town doing that is absurd!

Ulta is a nationwide chain that participates in the program, make sure you tell them when you make the appt you are doing it for locks of love. They give great haircuts we have only had positive experiences when my sister in law donated in another state and we did it here in Az.

Otherwise you are going to have to call local salons and ask.

Donating my hair?

i'm doing the same thing when i wake up in the morning my hair is a mess and sometimes it doesn't work the way i want it to and now im lucky i have hair so i thought i donate hair to cancer patiets so im growing my hair to my butt Report It

Donating my hair?

Go to the Locks of Love Web site, they have directions on how to do it. Bring the directions to any beauty salon - but chances are they've probably already done it before.

By the way, that's a lovely thing to do. xoxoxoox

Donating my hair?

maybe call around and ask if they do locks for love. i'm not much help but i think what you are doing is great!

Donating my hair?

That is so nice of you %26amp; I'm 13 %26amp; I'm going to do the same thing.

I'm not sure where to go or anything for that but you need to have your hair one color just to let you know.

Or else they wont let you!!!

閳?=^_^=)閳?br>Donating my hair?

just put ur hair up and ask them to cut offf the 10 inches. ask them for ur hair so them u can send it into locks of love. the address where u can send it in is on their website.

Donating my hair?

I believe any "Fantastic Sams" salons are participating.. if not go around your town and see which salons are. :)

Donating my hair?

Just go to the locksoflove website and you do the rest, but your hair can not be damaged or dyed..

Donating my hair?

i wanted to say yay! for doing this...you are definitely helping someone who is less fortunate! anyway, my sister donated to locks of love over the summer and just called around to the different hair salons and asked if they donated to locks of love. if they dont, they will give you address where you can send the locks (in a rubberband) and you can send them your hair yourself. be sure to check on the locks of love website before you send it off because they have directions on how to send it and i think they want you to include some information in the envelope, like maybe your address. good luck!

Donating my hair?

I donated my hair. All you do is go to a hair cutting place and have them put it in a pony tail before they cut it. then have them cut above the hair band. then have them even the hair out and style it the way you want. then take the pony tail home and go to the locks of love website and they have an address you can mail it to.

How can I tell my mom to let me grow out my hair?

Well, my mom always takes me to the hair stylist and always requests by herself which hair I'm getting. She always makes me cut my hair so short, and I hate it. Even other people admit that it's ugly. I was able to actually grow out my hair from summer, and now my mom made me cut it again. And worst of all, I HATE IT!!! It looks so stupid...and I'm in 8th grade. Shouldn't she let me get what hair I want by now? She always says when I want to keep my hair that I want to be a transexual and how it's so girly that I want to keep my hair longer. My hair is so hideous...

How can I tell my mom to let me grow out my hair?

Apparently your mom hasn't seen the other 8th grade boys lately....the longer hair is in. I have an 8th grade son. There is no way I'd tell him how to do his hair. If it looks bad, the kids at school do that for me :)

He had longer hair that I really liked - longer bangs, but he kept it shorter on his neck, but it was generally one length. He decided to get it cut and was so sorry and now he's is letting it grow back out..

Unfortunately, while I agree with you that you should be able to chose, I'm not sure I have any good tips on how to convince your mother of that. 8th grade is a really tough age and I know it must be hard if your really feeling bad about your hair - and I don't mean that in a shallow way. I wish I could talk to her for you.....

Vera's got a good idea - see if another relative will talk to her :) Good luck.

How can I tell my mom to let me grow out my hair?

Well I'm guessing you're a guy. But just tell her that you're old enough to make your own decisions. And tell her that you want to try something new, maybe show her some pictures of hairstyles that your looking at. This should help, and if it doesn't, call in your dad.

How can I tell my mom to let me grow out my hair?

tell her that for sure you're not, and you're in eighth so you need your own style like more of a new look

How can I tell my mom to let me grow out my hair?

Yeah! Almost all my guy friends have kinda long hair! Your mom's lame

How can I tell my mom to let me grow out my hair?

I'm a mom and I wouldn't dream of going to the hair stylist with my son or daughter that is in the 8th grade, and give instructions on how YOUR hair should be styled.

You are old enough to start to make this type of decision for yourself.

And I don't mean any disrespect to your own mother, but she shouldn't be putting you down either with her transsexual comments.

Do you have a dad that can step in or another adult relative that you can talk to that can help persuade your mom to realize that you are not a little boy anymore and that you need to start making this kind of decision yourself?

How can I tell my mom to let me grow out my hair?

I would just calmly just ask her to sit down and talk to her about how you feel. Open and honest communication with your parents is always best. Be prepared to meet your mom halfway on this though. I had short hair when I was a teen because of the same old fashioned standards and I changed it when I finised college.

Straighter hair?

is there any way that a stylist could cut my hair to make it dry straighter..i have kinda thin hair and it a little past my shoulders......i also have blonde hair.

Straighter hair?

It really depends.Like if you have naturally curky then no the stylist cant cut your hair to make it dry straight unless he/she uses a blowdryer to straighten your hair which doesnt last long and will go back to how your hair usually is unless you get a perm.

Straighter hair?

well there is a trick that hairstylists use to make her thin out which will probably make it dry straighter but most of the time you would have to layer your hair.

Straighter hair?

layers! when you dry your hair use a blow dryer with the thing at the end thats like a comb i forgot what its called do that then filp your hair upside down and do it again

Straighter hair?

Well just ask them to put some straightening serum on your hair blow dry and flat iron!

Straighter hair?

layers is prolly only thing that I can think of just straighten it or you could also use straightening shampoo and conditioners as easy as pie

do what posh has right now... she was on barbera walters last night and if you highlighted it with like blue or purple or something it would look pretty punk

Hair Help!!!! please help me!?

you would look cute with ur hair staying that lenght and layers everywhere. you should buy hair wax to make the layers stand out. and some bangs but side sweep bangs would be really pretty. i found a really good picture of what i'm talkin about but i can't paste the link. i'll just e-mail it to you k

Hair Help!!!! please help me!?

go to a hair salon and bring a picture of what you want your hair to look like.... also very important... make sure the hair salon you go to is good and has experience.... because i've gone to many different salons and i end up looking even worse.... when you get your haircut, add alittle color... maybe dye it black and add a different color to your bangs.... hope this helps! :D

Hair Help!!!! please help me!?

What is a "Scene Hair Style" ? Viewing your photo from what I can tell your ends are very chopped. You are at that "In between" Stage. Not long enough and shorter than you know what to do with it. It doesn't leave you much choice because if you want length you are going to have to wear a wig or get extensions. The good news is that you look nice as a blond. I would go really short. Color it a beige blond and put a lot of texture in it. Remember Sharon Stone's cut in "Catwoman" . Basically a boys cut with tons of disconnection. Make sure you go to a stylist that is HIP and Happening and knows HOW to use a razor.

Hair Help!!!! please help me!?

Hi Sweetie...my, you have such pretty blue eyes and a pretty pixie look to you...your hair looks like it might be fly away and baby fine, such a lovely color and shine to it, tho....have you tried a short hairstyle us oldesters call a 'pixie'? Mariska Hargaty (sp) used to wear a version of it-she stars in Law and Order/ Special Victims Unit......It was Lisa Minelli's signature hair style (still is)...and the late Audrey Hepburn wore a version of it for many years....it's short, layered to the shape of the head, and cut around the ears so you can show off earrings....I myself wore it for many years (until my new hubby talked me ito wearing my hairlong...what is it with guys and long hair)...Bangs can be worn at any length, straight down or brushed to the side...it's wash %26amp; wear so you can literally comb it thru with fingers outta the shower %26amp; let it dry , or style it sleek or even spikey....dispite it's shortness it is versatile...however, growing it out is a *****. And a big plus is you save on shampoo %26amp; conditioner 'cause you don't need much lol.....

You do need a pretty, feminine face to pull it off...and with big eyes....it'll call attention to your features and make your eyes look even bigger than they are....think about it....Good Luck with whatever style you choose...

Hair Help!!!! please help me!?

Hi! You should go to photobucket.com and search for either scene hairstyles or short hairstyles. I go there to find ideas for my own hair because they have alot of pictures. I hope that helps!

i think that u should thin it out and get choppy layers, i dont think u should spike it. i like the length of ur hair, so just get it trimmed. because, u can spike it, but if u ever decide to wear it down, and it's way too short what r u gonna do? ya' know? do what u want, but if ur just gonna wear it spiky every day then probably like 2-3 inches. ur hair ain't that long.

I want an emo hairstyle but I dont know what to ask for when I go to my stylist PLEASE HELP! Pictures inside!!

get layers and ask for a razor cut... that is about as emo as you can get... and you can spike it if you want.. i wouldnt cut to much emo hair tends to be long on guys

I want an emo hairstyle, but I dont know what to ask for when I go to my stylist?

i think you should just look up different emo hair styles and decide on the ones that YOU think would look good on you and is managable for yourself and take the pictures to your hair stylist and let her give her input on the styles and your hair since she's more experienced with hair.....another suggestion is dont go to the extreme the first time...cut a little at a time and same thing with the coloring if your thinking about that putting them hot pink or purple streaks in your hair...lol

I want an emo hairstyle, but I dont know what to ask for when I go to my stylist?

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v608/o...

your hair would do this really easy. just straighten your hair and put some anti frizz products in it to keep it really straight and shiny.

I want an emo hairstyle, but I dont know what to ask for when I go to my stylist?

emo hair cuts suck

I want an emo hairstyle, but I dont know what to ask for when I go to my stylist?

u should chop random pieces of hair, get side bangs like to the left of ur face, die ur hair black, and have ur hair straightened.

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

I am just sitting there and he lowers the chair so he can have a perfect angle to rub his bulge against me....and it feels like he is very well endowed....what should I do?

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

Well I am a stylist and quite frankly that's something that happens especially if your short but, if he is doing it intently, then if you are close to him, joke and be like "now do ya have to rub your **** on me like that?" If he jokes back then be like "seriously man, You know I ain't like that!" If he is like "oh sorry" then just be like "yeah you know you want me but you also know I don't go that way, but thanks for the compliment." and change the subject! Neither of you will be embarrassed and you don't have to leave your stylist!

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

If you are sure he is doing it on purpose I would speak up

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

tell him politly and secertly you dont approve and get another stylist

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

just ask him 2 back off cuz ur claustrophobic(cant spell)

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

you should slip him a note asking him to meet you in the parking lot after he gets off work so you can give him the blow*job of his life!

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

that's gross, but I had a stylist do that before too.

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

wise guy

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

I have a similar "problem", except there is no bulge and she can rub all she wants.

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

warn him seriously.

don't smile while doing it. ok?

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

Change stylists. Or tell him you are interested in only in getting the hair on your head styled and nothing else.

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

is he like rubbing it into you or just pressing it cause i know that sometimes when hair dressers conserntrat they push there lower body( croch ) out for conserntration, i noticed it with a women though...lmao

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

ask him to stop

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

you can return the favour by scratching his...

My stylist rubs his crotch up against me when he cuts my hair......?

Give him a little rub back. This may make him stop because he's embarassed that you noticed or it may encourage him to turn that little rub into a friendlier grind! If that's the case, ask him where he'd like to go to get his tip!

Whatever happens, don't let him put mousse in your hair! LOL!

My hair is wavy like and it looks like many elongated S's. How do I find the right hair style?

Everytime I go and cut my hair, the stylist would straighten my hair after, which is not what I want. I want a hair style that after I wash my hair will be okay just to leave it as it is. My hair is very thick and I have a lot of hair. It is about rib length if I straighten it, but since is is wavy, it is about chest length. If I try to straighten it with a ceramic one and on high power, it just wont straighten. Any suggestions would be great. =)

My hair is wavy like and it looks like many elongated S's. How do I find the right hair style?

straighten it, and get it professionally layered in a hair shop, just a hair cut,not alot of money, maybe about 20$.....it will be easier to straighten and easier to manage. use herbal essences!!!!

Help me find a GREAT hair salon/stylist near Phillipsburg, NJ?

My hair grows really fast, should I even bother dying it blond, it'll have dark root in 3 days?

I've been told many times I'd look great as a blond. I have very light skin, so I could look like a natural blond guy if I dyed my hair. But my hair grows really quick. I cut my hair every Saturday. I wouldn't cut it as often if not because my super frizzy hair looks really bad on the sides of my head as it grows. All my barbers and hair stylist have always been surprised of how fast my hair grows, and often I go to them. Dying your hair is big commitment, if I dye it, I'd probably start showing dark roots by the 3rd if not the 4th day. I can't dye my hair eveyr 4 days.

Should I even bother to dye it the first time?

My hair grows really fast, should I even bother dying it blond, it'll have dark root in 3 days?

I used to have the same problem. I love having blonde hair but it is an investment in many aspects. If you have the money to do it and the time to dedicate to it. Keep in mind that dying it blonde will also make hair more breakable which is never helpful for naturally frizzy hair. The frizz will break and be shorter, more noticable.

If you really end up doing it I would suggest getting highlights first, which you may choose to stay with. They are less of an eye sore when growing back. Just in a "T", along your part and around your face. That way the blonde shows when your hair is up and down. Your paying less that way, but more importantly frying less hair. It sounds as if dying your hair blonde may be more of a burden than a blessing.

My hair grows really fast, should I even bother dying it blond, it'll have dark root in 3 days?

I suggest getting peek-a-boo highlights! They will lighten up your hair but you wont see the grow out because the darker hair is lying on top of them. They only peek out. Nice way to make a change w/ out having to retouch every 5 weeks. But if you do start processing your hair with bleach, your hair will probably slow down with the growth after a few times.

My hair grows really fast, should I even bother dying it blond, it'll have dark root in 3 days?

u should dye it if its ur choice plus my older cousins got blonde hair and black roots and he's never complaint!!

My hair grows really fast, should I even bother dying it blond, it'll have dark root in 3 days?

nah, your hair cannot humanley grow that fast that you'd have roots in three days. On average, it'll only grow have and inch in a month, so it's fine for you to dye your hair blonde

I want an emo hairstyle, But I dont know what to tell my stylist PLEASE help, Pictures inside?

I think you should work with your waves honey!!! A hairstyle will always be better if you work with you hair texture instead of against it. You defeintly want to have it thinned out a little b/c it seems like you have a thick head of hair. You will also want layers to work with the waves. To be able to spike it in the back, it will have to be pretty short 2 to 3 inches max. You will want to research a good stylist in the area that can do emo/edgy styles. Not all stylists have been trained to do such cuts. If you find a good stylist, they will be able to help you more than anyone choose a style, b/c they will understand what will work with your hair type. The top picture looks like it would work with your hair type: http://www.zimbio.com/emo+hairstyles/pic...

you will also need good product recomendations. you will need a good texturizer (I like Fudge brand) and have the stylist SHOW you how to style your hair.

the top one here is pretty good too. I think it would look good even on your wavy hair:

What kind of hair style?

i'm trying to decide if i should cut my hair off like halle berry or keep it like gabriel union. i'm not a hair person at all and i'll be going off to college soon and i dont want it to fall out. my mom is my hair stylist and i cant bring her with me. so i need to decide how to cut my hair or atleast how far should i go with cutting it. i just need something that i can take care of without the hassle.

What kind of hair style?

leave it long that way you can just tie it up, short hair always needs styling...

What kind of hair style?

keep it liek it is

What kind of hair style?

you should cut your hair like it is in your avatar picture. its low maintenance for college so you can focus on studies!

What kind of hair style?

dont cut it!!!!!! the new look is long! not short

What kind of hair style?

you should just maybe just get a trim

like an inch er two.

What kind of hair style?

look at your avatar. i think that is a perfect length. it is short and cute, and very easy to manage. if your in college you'll want to be worrying about your classes, not your hair.

I have been experiencing hair loss, what should i do or use?

it's been about a year now, that i decided to grow my hair out for donation. here in san diego, the summer weather can get pretty hot, so i showered twice a day for the entire summer, including shampoooing and conditioning my hair, over the time i noticed that i was loosing alot of hair strands. i thought at first that it was just my scalp in its resting phase. when i was ready to cut my hair my stylist assured me that it was that and once i cut my hair it would grow back.. i now have a medium/short pixie style. its been about 4 months, but i still havent seen any improvements, my hair continues to grow longer, but i still dont see full hair. i dont have male pattern baldness, because its not just in a specific place in which i lost hair, i can part my hair anywhere and its evenly bare. i use head and shoulders daily and im beginning to think that that may be a reason, i also use alot of products including hairspray to style it. if you need the info: male, 14 kthanks :]

I have been experiencing hair loss, what should i do or use?

1. Eat HEALTY Food

2. Take PLENTY of Vitamins

3. Exercise

4. Try not 2 STRESS the "Little-Stuff" ! !

I have been experiencing hair loss, what should i do or use?

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Need help on hair straightening for guy with scene/emo hair?

I currently got my haircut and it isn't too short I would say about a few inches. Well I asked my stylist to cut my hair to match the "scene" or "emo" style of hair. It is a cool and stylish thing to have hair come off to the side like that. The right side of my bangs are growing more than my left simply because I had my bangs cut but kept the right side of hair. I was wondering if I could use a hair straightener to flaten it out even more. It is not falling in place so well because my hair has its own way of settling down. I used Moose but it still wont stick. Any ideas with the straightener or some type of hair product that will hold without shine or glossyness?

Need help on hair straightening for guy with scene/emo hair?

Hiya.

Yes what the other are saying is great. Always blow dry it has maximum effect for this type of style on your hair. And yes its totally cool to have that style, i love it!!

I know exactly what your saying. After washing (smapoo and condition) blow dry about 50% dry. Then us your straightener. I know what your chattin about because im going for that kinda style and yes my hair does the same, i try styling it so much but it just bounces back to its normal position no matter how much product i use. I would highly reccomend you use a hair straitener, it will hold it in the disired direction and flatten it out to the position that you want it, not the position that it want to be in. Once nearly dry apply any type of gel/wax/clay/pomade to your hair. Style. Then blow dry the styling product into your hair, this melts the product into your hair, not leaving it ontop giving you a greasy look. Use a hot blow dryer for this.

*Finish with a freezign spray

Good Luck :D

Need help on hair straightening for guy with scene/emo hair?

Try hair jell ... put some in ur palm of your hand and rub it around then take ur hand and run ur fingers through your hair and use it to stile it the way you want.

Need help on hair straightening for guy with scene/emo hair?

Try any brand of hair glue which will hold till the apocalypse if you use it right. If you blow dry your hair, try using your brush to pull your hair in the direction you want while holding it close to your head and it should help it to straighten as well as go whichever direction you'd like. You have to train your hair since it isn't used to lying this current way you want. Also, if you want your hair to lie close to your head with minimum volume, don't use mousse and do not blow dry your hair in an up direction (bending over, pulling hair straight up, etc) because this will give it lift.

Need help on hair straightening for guy with scene/emo hair?

Emo hair isn't really about the cut of the hair, it's about the way it's styled and coloured.

Emo hair originates from Manga styles (japanese cartoons) and usually still attributes as a long sweeping side fringe (though not always required.)

Emo hair can be about being yourselves, the aim is to just do what you think looks good on you!

I found a website for you full of examples:

http://photobucket.com/images/emo%20hair...

When it comes to dye, just think about the colours that suit you best and that you wouldn't mind having in your hair, pink, red, black and blonde streaks and the most popular colours.

Style:

1. Wash and condition

2. towel dry

3. Use styling mouse or gel to brush backwards

4. Style around your face, have spiky bits at the back if you want.

Finish off with a cute DIY accessory, bow or necklace, such as something from LoveBites and Bruises: http://www.lovebitesandbruises.com

This will show a flair of originality that scenesters try to go for to make them stand out and be original.

Best of luck with it! :)

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

on Celebrity Scissor Hands? (BBC3) I wouldn't! Not after watching some of the disastrous haircuts the "stylists" have been doing!

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

not a f*cking chance! lol

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

never watched it.

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

No! Especially not after last years Steve Strange and his various hair disasters... eek!

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

yeah I would skin head, not if i was a women.

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

No way. I'd rather eat poo.

NO WAY....it took me 8 years to get my hair to waist lenghth and i wouldnt get it cut for any amount of money.....x

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

Yeah I asked this question a couple of days ago. Yes it IS for children in need but these people are taking the p**s!

The looks on their faces are cringeworthy, bring back Stan Boardman, now he was good and entertaining!

and to answer mine and your question, I certainly wouldn't let them within a mile!

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

Yes

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

Most of these 'reality' TV shows are just a farce anyway.

They go through them in advance and know pretty well what's going to happen.

It's just done for entertainment, if you like that sort of thing.

Don't forget, what some people might call celebrities are well paid for doing what they're told.

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

No chance!

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

I've never watched it, but the way I see it, it's just hair. As long as I am able to donate it to Locks of Love (so they would have to cut of at least 10 inches--my hair is really long), I think I would be OK.

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

big time NO! maybe if i was a guy... but i wouldnt dare let someone who doesn't know what they are doing touch my hair!!

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

ive never watched it but im kinda interested now..

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

I would, its only hair and will grown again.

Would anyoneon here be brave enough to get their hair cut?

I've never watched it but I'm sure I would not say no!! love a challenge and who knows if it's a celebrity maybe I can have a good chat while they're doing there thing.

Good question,

Thank you.

Hair stylists/barbers?

Why is it the person cutting my hair always ask me questions like "Do you want the back tapered or blocked" or "What size guage should I use on the sides"

I DON'T KNOW......I don't cut hair for a living.......

Why don't they just make suggestions?

If you bring your car to my shop for work I don't ask what torque setting to use.

Hair stylists/barbers?

I'm a stylist! And I know what you mean... most of the time I don't ask this, but with some customers are so used to having their hair cut with a particular gaurd that if you use anything else, they get upset. I also find that a lot of parents just flat out tell me what to use, and don't let me make suggestions. Just tell your stylist you'd rather them use their expertise!

Hair stylists/barbers?

hairdressers ask "opened ended " questions just to get the ball rolling we like to know how you like your hair cut because hair is personal opinions...but what i ask is how long has it been since youve had a haircut that gives me a better idea of how the client likes it done so next time you sit in the chair just tell the stylist how long its been since youve had a haircut %26amp; what you liked %26amp; didnt like about your last one

Hair stylists/barbers?

isn't there only one setting that is good for the car?

not one cut is good for each person.

we still want to know how you like to have it - even if it doesn't look good. we can tell you what will look good if you would like. just let us know.

"can you give me any suggestions? i don't know exactly how i want it." will take you FAR.

just look at it from a different angle.

Hair stylists/barbers?

The reason we ask, is that most people have a particular way they like to have their hair done. If we just picked up and started cutting the way we saw fit, many clients would have a fit.

When your stylist asks the question, tell him/her to use their best judgement, and if you are always getting asked this, try to get the same stylist each time, they will get used to you and you're hair, and won't need to ask anymore.

Hair help.....?

ok, so I had my hair layered a couple of months ago, but then after that i found out that the layering wasnt done properly. so I went to the salon again and the hair stylist told me that my hair were too short to be layered properly again. so she advised me to let it grow long. after that I never got a chance to cut my hair again ( actually I wanted to grow it longer). now my hair are past my shoulders like almost halfway down my back but the problem is that the hair in the front are like just shoulder length (cos of the layering) and its all uneven.. I dont want to get a layer cut again cos i like to plait my hair often. but how do i cut my hair so that its even and yet i dont have to cut it too short(its taken me llllooooooooooonng to grow it) . help please!! suggest a good hairstyle for me... =DD thnks!! and MERRRRY CHRISTMASS!!!!

Hair help.....?

Just get the longest layers trimmed regularly, and the shorter layers will start catching up.

It's a bit weird, but often having longer layers cut a bit can actually make your hair look longer overall, because more of the hair is the same length. You would still be able to plait your hair if you only have an inch cut off the bottom.

Hair help.....?

um, i'd add some natural highlights in the front and back to make hair look uneven un purpose and then, um, just get side bangs (think rhiana) that are long and then just wave, rest of back hair to look more natural

like the ends of my hair have a mind of their own..

Is it possible to have really really dry/damaged hair without split ends?..[look inside]?

is it possible to have really really dry/damaged hair without having any split ends?.

My hairs really dry..and I trimmed it in more then 7 months. Because everytime someone does trim it, it looks really bad. I've had experiance with the stylists in my city..and they all SUCK. I don't know who to trust with my hair. I always end up in tears. I let my mom trim it sometimes....but it sometimes gets outta had. And there isn't at least ONE time.I didn't cry after I got my hair cut. Because it looks horrible.

So yeah..my hair is really dry and coarse, and I'm experimenting with differant conditioners/shampoos....but I don't get any split ends. Does that mean I still have to trim it?.=///

and how will I find the perfect stylists that always cuts my hair that I can actually TRUST

Is it possible to have really really dry/damaged hair without split ends?..[look inside]?

No you should do yourself a favor and dont trim you hair. When it does need trimming do it yourself. My hair used to look like hell and there was little to no split ends and I didn't get trims. Now I just self trim and actively look for split ends and take care of them when I see them. How I trim is I take small sections of hair at a time and snip off a little from the ends and that's just for appearances not because I see split ends, I do that until I'm done with all my ends. Plus you dont need to pay people to butcher your hair even if all you told them was you wanted a light trim. Good luck!

Is it possible to have really really dry/damaged hair without split ends?..[look inside]?

It sounds as if the texture of your hair is very coarse, which has more to do with genetics than the person who cuts it. You can have coarse hair without having split ends. Finding a good stylist is hard, and the stylist your best friend loves---you may hate. You shouldn't have to cry over every haircut---and a trim shouldn't really affect how your overall haircut looks.

Is it possible to have really really dry/damaged hair without split ends?..[look inside]?

just like mine...:(

ok here's what you do.

get at least one layer cut into it.

but for tonight.... 3 hrs before you go to bed,

get some conditioner and plaster it to your hair.

every strand. rub it scrunch it and run your fingers thru it all night until bed time.

Then comb it all pretty and tie a plastic bag all around it. in the morning shower it all out.

Blow it dry.

Get some steam curlers... the big purple ones.

set for ten min and you will have very pretty bouncy hair.

just like mine...;)

My hair...HELP...color and cut...?

I'm getting my hair done this Thursday. I used to have ALOT of blonde highlights and now I'm trying to go back to my natural color. I've been coloring it brown for a while now and the blonde keeps coming back through. I eventually want to go to not coloring my hair at all. Are my roots ever going to go away or am I stuck to artificial coloring for the rest of my life? Should I let it grow out and look like trash for a few years? Should I try a semi-permanent color or would that never TOTALLY go away? And, if so, should i just do it myself or tell my stylist to? Also...i'm trying to grow my hair out. I wear it curly and straight and im wondering how to get it cut b/c if it has too many layers...the curls look weird, but my hair is really thick, should i just get it thinned? Pics would help...

you want to start using temporary coloring. that way, you won't have the lines where your hair grows out. eventually, you will be able to stop dying your hair. if you want to end up without dying your hair, it will be harder to accomplish this while growing your hair out.

you need a stylist who knows how to do curly hair. they can figure out what is best for your type of curly hair. also, if you add too many layers, you will look like a mushroom.

nick arrojo from what not to wear is the best at doing curly hair...

Blonde is hard to get rid of, I've had the same problem also, you just have to keep dying over it until it's gone. I get natural color washes to make my hair close to my natural color without as much damage. As the color fades it adds some dimension, but I have to dye it not long after that because you will start to notice the roots a bit. I also found that going a shade darker really helped cover up the blonde and make everything look better if you skin tone will allow that

My hair...HELP...color and cut...?

Do you REALLY trust the person you are going to let do your hair? If there are any doubts I would hold off. Find someone that has hair you like and ask them for a recommendation. You will eventually cut out all of the colored hair but it will take a little time. A good colorist should be able to color your hair on a regular basis to keep the blonde from coming through. The key will be to go every few weeks for a touch up.

How can I get my hair to grow faster?

My hair stylist screwed up and cut off a bunch of my hair that I didn't want her to.

I want my hair to grow faster; not unnaturally fast, of course, but I want it to grow faster than it usually does--at tortise pace.

Are there any treatments, shampoos, creams, or home remedies to make hair grow a little faster?

How can I get my hair to grow faster?

I heard that if you spend a lot of time in the sun it helps your hair grow faster. Because your hair absorbs the vitamin D from the sun and other nutrients that help it grow.

How can I get my hair to grow faster?

Generally hair growth is a universal problem. You will need to get the right diet

with enough protein and iron in your body for growth of your hair because hair is made up of keratin,a type of protein. The healthy condition of the hair depends, to a very large extent, on the intake of sufficient amounts of essential nutrients in the daily diet.Persons with a tendency to lose hair should take a well-balanced and correct diet, made up of foods which, in combination, should supply all the essential nutrients.Hair under stress is not vitalized.Tight braids or coils weakens roots and prevents hair from growing longer. Crash diets and low calorie foods could deprive the hair of vital nourishment,so do not eliminate fat and carbohydrates from your diet.A proper diet supplemented adequately by vitamins and minerals will optimize the genetic growth cycle. Any deficiency will be reflected in the volume and thickness of your hair.

Home remedies are made at home and work out less expensive than other alternative forms of medicines.Generally, homemade remedies are harmless when compared to other forms of modern medicines and rarely cause reactions or side effects.

1.Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair.

2.Vitamins B, C, F, zinc, iron, copper and protein are essential for hair growth.

3. Brush your hair gently with preferably wooden brushes to increase hair growth.

4.Boil 1 cup of celery leaves with stems, strain and add juice of 1 lemon. You can

rinse your hair with this after washing your hair. It makes your hair look healthy

and lustrous.

5.Lavender oil has been shown to increase hair growth so massage the oil once a week and soak for 30 minutes before washing.

6.If one wants to grow hair, trim the hair once every month.

7.Never brush the hair when it is wet.

8.Massage aloe vera gel over the scalp and leave it for about one hour. After this rinse the hair with warm water. It gives amazing results for hair growth.

9.Rinsing your hair with apple cider vinegar and sage tea helps in hair growth

10.Boil rosemary leaves in water and use this water while washing your hair daily to improve hair growth.

11.Massaging your scalp vigorously with your fingers promotes hair growth.

12.Rinsing your hair with one juiced lemon and one cup of water is said to bring

life and shine back to dull hair.

13.Rub olive oil into the scalp to promote hair growth.

14.Massage the scalp with egg yolk, leave for 1 hour and wash.

15.It helps to put your hair up, so it's not struggling to grow downwards.

hope I helped! :)

take a maternity vitamin. they are chalk full of super good things that will help your hair and nails and skin! they can't harm you, so don't worry about that, but that would be the only thing you can do to help it hurry up a little. just keep it in good healthy condition in the meantime, so the ends don't split while you're waiting for it to grow.

How can I get my hair to grow faster?

it's no quick fix my dear, sorry :( all I can suggest for you to do is to keep hair shampooed conditioned and moisturized..I don't know the texture of hair you got, so I can't suggest any products to use

prenatals, my hair grew 3 inches in 2 months.

How can I get my hair to grow faster?

Simple...Prenatal vitamins. You can get them from GNC. And no...you don't have to be pregnant to use them. They are actually quite good for you, just make sure you ge the ones WITHOUT Iron, because these vitamins can contain too much iron and make you sick if you're not pregnant.

Or, if it weirds you out to think about taking them....choose the Hair,Skin, and Nails vitamin at GNC. They'll do the trick too. Either way, you'll see results in about 1 1/2 months.

OR, Biotin...which you can purchase at Walmart. Research all of these on the internet and you'll find that they are safe to consume.

How can I get my hair to grow faster?

Keep it clean, drink lots of water, don't stress too much. Oh, and eat lots of protein and start taking a multivitamin with biotin. I want it to grow at a rabbit's pace but unfortunately I don't think it's going to happen considering it's winter right now. In the summer my hair usually grows a good inch+ a month and in the winter a little less than 3/4 of an inch. And that's apparently considered ridiculously fast. I'm pretty sure there shouldn't be that much variance though.

Be patient though....when you have long hair, you notice growth less and it feels like it's taking forever, but one day you're going to look in the mirror and saw that it grew. A lot. I had really long hair (like all the way down my face....I'm a guy) and then I cut it and now I hate it and I'm trying to grow it back. It sucks, I know. Good luck.

How can I get my hair to grow faster?

I need help from a Hair stylist that has traveled with there "tools" before.?

I am a hairstylist that needs to fly to Miami from Maryland. I also need to bring all of my "tools" of the trade, i.e. cutting shears, razors, blow dryer, combs and brushes, e.c.t. Is there a definitive travel bag for this kind of thing or do I need to just use a regular carry-on bag? I am nervous about letting them go through. I do not want to have them damaged at all. Pls help!!!!

I need help from a Hair stylist that has traveled with there "tools" before.?

there are stylist carry-alls that come much like a rolling carry-on. check your local beauty supply(cosmoprof maly's sally's), they are silver and black, wheels, handle, you get the picture.

I need help from a Hair stylist that has traveled with there "tools" before.?

Let me just say I'm not a hair stylist, but I would think it would be better to carry them on than checking your bag. Those things get tossed around like crazy! I know that some things are not allowed on planes these days, so you may want to call your airline and see what they recommend you do. That is probably your safest bet.

I need help from a Hair stylist that has traveled with there "tools" before.?

hi

sure there is a practical wanderful special bags !!! more than you can imagine !!! i do not live in your country but they exist in france which i am sure you might have in the staets better and better things they are water proof chock proof designd specialy for each singel tresure of yours ! you will hug the casse while sleeping from joy !

p.s if they turn out very expensive for you you can design your own and fiend some one to make it for you , and if you do not have time , you can just buy a normal (hard) suit casse that can fit into the aireplan there is a legal size that can take all your stuff you have to make sure from the vendor that this can go into the plain , buy or get spongy sheets , i am not sure this is the right word in english but they are very cheap and you can fiend it in any do it your self store or stores for crafts men , role each item in them so they do not bang together , by the way you can inssure( i mean contact an insurance traveling compagny ) your suit casse if your items are too much to be but in the legal size case , because i do not know with all the razors and wepons you will be carrying they will not freak out this days !

so just wrap every thing carefully , put it in a professional casse or just a hard casse , make the insurance and let them put this big sticker of fragile on it

good luck and have fun

I need help from a Hair stylist that has traveled with there "tools" before.?

Check airport policy. You will NEVER get those through on a carry on.

Only answers from Stylist or those who've had extensions please..?

Hello. I am not a stylist. I have ordered my own keratin bond hair extensions and plan to put them in with a friends help (I'm not an idiot I think I can figure it out, so no scoldings please from those of you who think I should have a stylist put them in, since there are none within many miles who even offer it where I live )

I DO however admit to needing a stylist to cut my hair and there are lots of those around here.

I have shoulder length hair. It's thick, but has been thinned with shears and razor. I'll need a stylist to layer the extensions afterwards of course.

BUT (and this is my question... finally)

Do I need to see a stylist to thin my hair more before I put the extensions in...to have my hair like MAJORly layered?

or can all layering and blending be done after the extensions go in.

I hope someone gets what i'm saying. I have thick hair so i'm wondering if it should be super thinned before I put in the extensions.

Only answers from Stylist or those who've had extensions please..?

If you start layering your hair before putting the extensions in, it would look better and you would be more "safe". If you put the extensions in and started layer your hair then, your extensions could fall out OR once you take the extensions out, your naturtal hair would have a weird un even layering to it. I think you should layer it first then put the extensions in. Goodluck.

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

I normally get low lights and high lights when I go into the salon. This last time, I wanted to go a bit lighter on top and alittle darker underneath. She put all my hair in foils and put bleach on it. She knew she had done something wrong because when I was under that dryer, she got on the phone to the salon owner for advice. My hair was toast. 4 to 5 inches of the ends were rubbery and curled up. I could pull it out in hand fulls. I didn't know what to do. She didn't know what to do. Of course, I was upset and crying. She phoned her boss a second time, told her boss it was bad. The stylist was very sorry. They gave me 6 reconstructive visits worth $60 and tube of heavy conditioner. I was in the salon for 4 and half hours. Normally I am only there for 2. I didn't know what to do. I tried my best to stay cool. She had been a stylist for 6 years!!!! I just figured I could trust her. What do I do? A free burnt job and some conditioner just doesn't cut it. Please help

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

go back to salon and tell them that what they gave you does not compensate. I wouldn't let them away with that. I 'd tell them if they don't come up with something better then you are going to seek legal advice.

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

That happened to me a long time ago.. I had to end of cutting it off and wearing a wig for a short time..Bummer!

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

SUE!!!

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

Lawsuit is the only other thing. See an attorney.

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

I would sue for damages, or go there and seek out monatary compensation for her negligence.

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

Hot oil and deep conditioning treatments are in order. Also, make sure she didn't burn your scalp skin. If you scalp is red, she may have burned it too. Try not to wash your hair, use leave in conditioners

I'm sorry

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

Is any of it salvageable? Do you mind short hair, because you can get it cut really short and just let it grow out. Otherwise, you could get extensions (they will actually let your hair grow on its own, too, so it can get healthy), but they would have to match your base color. My long-time hairdresser recently colored my hair a very wrong color and then cut it too short (maybe they get tired of us, I don't know), so for a little while I just pulled it back tight and wore a fake ponytail in a similar color. You can get them cheap on the internet (but they are nice, too), or at some beauty supply places. If they have the separate combs to attach them, all you need is a tiny little bit of hair to attach them in. Or, you could wear a wig or hats or turbans or scarfs (my mom is a cancer patient, she has lots of those!), but it is summer and those are all hot to wear. I would go with the detachable ponytail.

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

you could actually do a lot of things such as you can make them do your hair back over but this time withsomeone new,or you can leave it like it is which you wouldnt want to do.

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

Cut most of it off and get hair extensions

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

First go to someone that is very trusted by someone else... see what can still be done for the less damaged areas.. you may have to go very short for a long time... that is the bummer about it.. good through different conditioners that are for damaged hair... some salons have a treatment conditioner that you might have to do for a long time .. like once a week... or go back to that salon, and trade in some of the $60 for the treatments.... if you have been going to this hair dresser for 6 years....and you have been happy with her... then see what she can do... she is propably wondering how she is ever going to be trusted by you again.... that's if you feel comfortable with her... go back... but especially for the conditioner treatments.... you really will need them.... also try to get de-fizzying formulas... that does help.. feeling your pain.... and hair mystery....

My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

Keep doing the conditioning treatments. Maybe you can pull off a shorter style with shorter layers. You will need to cut the damaged part off. I think your stylist should give you free hair cuts until it looks better and at least looks like a style you like without any damage left. She should give you free service for about a year, hair grows about 6 inches a year. I'm totally feeling you, I'm going through hair drama my self and have been for a while now. I'm real sorry this happened to you. Take a look at some pictures of that actress Lisa Rinna and see if you like her hair, its's short ,but long enough to flip the layers out. Good luck

I just cut my hair and.... =[?

well its suppose to be spikey in the back and its not spikeing!! the front i like but the back im scared of what people will say about me too. my stylist says its because my hair was kinda wavy. but still it wont spike! help me!

anything to make hair grow faster? :[

I just cut my hair and.... =[?

use gels and/or pomades for the back,...i had that style...and hated it.....theres nothing really thats a "magic fix" to growing out ur hair...just deal with it....sorry

I just cut my hair and.... =[?

Well go to the store and buy some of that guy spiking stuff. Not just gel. They have stuff especially made for spiking short hair and its really thick and holds good!

I just cut my hair and.... =[?

if its wavy then straighten it with a flat iron first

I just cut my hair and.... =[?

oooh it looks like you pulled a britney....well try straighting it out with a thin straightner.

I just cut my hair and.... =[?

Hair wax is great for spiking and chunking, have you tried using that?

I just cut my hair and.... =[?

' got to be glued' should do the trick. Your stylist may not have been very adept at this style as well. I am a stylist now for 25 yrs, and I must say it looks easy, but it works best on thinner , finer hair types. Funny too that I find wavy hair to work well for this style when certain techniques are applied to the cut. These are : Chipping, razoring and thinning it out with the shears and good product !!! I prefer razoring, but you really need to find a stylist that is profficient at razoring....thats not something everyone does well. Go back, ask for someone else, and it should also be 'free of charge'. They may also give you free tips, and products, but that depends on the salon.

Is it safe for black women sporting short hair cuts to get their hair relaxed every two weeks?

For a woman wearing long hair, she gets her hair relaxed every 6-8 weeks. My friend tells me that every time she gets her hair done, (every two weeks), no matter who does it, she always gets it relaxed yet again. I fear that this may damage her hair completely. Any Black hair stylists out there??? Thanks!

Is it safe for black women sporting short hair cuts to get their hair relaxed every two weeks?

She will be bald, burnt, and scabbed up in the next month or so if not sooner... That's just plain crazy.. It's bad enough to relax at all and risk damage..

6 - 8 weeks is the norm.. but every 2 weeks... i'm laughing.. Her stylist has her fooled into taking all her money.. it costs so much more to relax than to just wash/blow/curl.. She must be forking over 60 - 80 every 2 weeks..

The relaxer/touchup is for getting the new growth straight.. what new growth can she POSSIBLY have in 2 weeks.. Hair does not even grow that fast that she has new hair in 2 weeks that needs to be relaxed..

She's krazy...

Is it safe for black women sporting short hair cuts to get their hair relaxed every two weeks?

They cut the old hair off to keep the short style so it's really like perming new hair each time and is safe

Is it safe for black women sporting short hair cuts to get their hair relaxed every two weeks?

no!!!!!!!!! dude her hair is gonna get major damage im not a stylists but im around people that do hair and they wouldnt advise it. but if ur friend is going to a shop to get it done then it might be okay cuz shops don't relax the hair all the way and they its okay every 2 weeks cuz thats how they get paid . but i would tell her to stop cuz its straining her hair way to much

Is it safe for black women sporting short hair cuts to get their hair relaxed every two weeks?

Tell her don't do it. Her hair is bound to fall out. If her hair grows super fast and she needs a perm every two weeks then that is okay. Black hair is way different from white hair. Our hair can dry out at the drop of a pin. If she gets it permed every two weeks, she is not giving her hair enough time to grow. She is perming it at the first sign of new growth. I can understand not wanting new growth but just get a hair style that moves around your new growth. Like flat ironing it or pinning it up. Luck.

Damaged hair ??

ok so on this one part of mi hair its kinda frizzing out and i kno i need to get it cut but mi hair stylist cant get me in for another 2 weeks or so. so is there anything i can do in the mean time to get mi hair as back to normal as possible?

Damaged hair ??

there is this serum called biolage and its like a silk serum and it works great!! if you have greasy hair then just dry your hair and then style it and then if you have normal hair then just put a dime size amount when its wet and style after!!! i have super thick hair and it works perfect for me!!

Damaged hair ??

PANTENE!! You can obviously get it at like CVS, Rite Aid, ect.

Damaged hair ??

Yah I agree! Use Pantine sleek n shine it really helps!

Damaged hair ??

Use the Sunsilk "Hello Hydration" shampoo and conditioner.

Avoid using hairdryer's, straighteners, curling irons, etc., because they dry and damage your hair even more.

And you can use Sunsilk "anti-poof" leave-in conditioner stuff. (It comes in a blue bottle and it isn't shampoo/conditioner)

Hope I helped :]

Damaged hair ??

stay away from pantene!!!!!!!!!!! that just camoflauges the problem by putting a wax barrier on your ends...just get a good deep conditoner and apply to ends....if possible leave on for about a half hour then rinse, doing this every 3-4 days...i wouldnt do it more often because often overconditioning can cause more damage to already damaged har

Should I tip the girl that washes my hair in a salon?

I am a man and when I get a haircut, the stylist has a young girl that washes the hair of the customers. Should I tip her? I say no, but I am open this up for some discussion. I maintain that the girl washing the hair is doing the stylist a favor that allows the stylist to cut more hair in a given amount of time. I say that the stylist should take care of the wash girl out of my tip to her. By the way I tip the stylist $5 on a $15 haircut. If I decide to tip the wash girl, how much would be acceptable? Should I deduct it from the stylist tip? It only takes 5 minutes at the most to wash my hair.

Should I tip the girl that washes my hair in a salon?

I had always been under the impression that the girl who washes should be tipped seperately. I usually give them between $2 to $5 depending on the cost of the hairstyling.

Think about it this way, if the haircut cost $15, 10% of that would be $1.50. Your haircut would not be the same if you didn't wash it, so is $1 to $5 all that much? Besides, I think the washing part is the best since it usually feels so good. Makes it worth the dollar to me!

Should I tip the girl that washes my hair in a salon?

I would hope that the stylist gives the wash girl a portion of the tip. The next time you get a haircut, ask the stylist if she does. If she doesn't, then I would give a dollar or two to the wash girl and reduce the tip to the stylist.

Should I tip the girl that washes my hair in a salon?

i think you should tip her. it lets her know that you appreciate her and maybe she'll use a special conditioner next time or give you a nice head massage...then again its just a nice gesture :)

Should I tip the girl that washes my hair in a salon?

It would be nice if u did
