I have super long hair past my butt. The hair stylist said that cutting layers, and tapering the sides (feathering) would make it look thicker. But i've also heard that blunt 'choppy' cuts make it thicker. Which is true? I want my long hair to stay thick!

First of all, the only people that think hair that long is stylish are the people that sport it. Cut it to the middle of your back...you'll love it I promise. Any type of layers will make your hair look thicker...but the shorter you go the more thick it will look so GET A HAIRCUT!
