My girlfriend would like for me to cut her hair and this is the first time doing it...?

...I need help, and big time. She wants me to do a good job. Why she doesn't want to go to her regular stylist, I don't know, but I think she may in fact get aroused by me doing the deed. Well anyway, she has wonderful long and thick hair with sensual layering - she normally spends $40 dollars at the salon and goes every 5 months. Well, this week she tells me she wants to go short and actually wants me to pick a drastic and artful above the chin style, and she wants me to actually learn how to cut it by viewing internet hair videos, hair books, various instructional videos, and by practicing on her sister. Yeah this is gonna be tough as its something I've never had experience with. She already bought a $400 pair of scissors, clippers, and a razor, and wants me to learn to use all of them for the big snip. um tell her you dont want to do it bc its to dangerous lol %26amp; she coud get mad at u if u mess it up %26amp; she cant expect that from you, or else she cant get mad if u do really bad. i wanted my bf to cut my hair bc i dident hav the money, nd i jus needed the split ends off.. poor him he did so bad but i said i coudent be mad at him cuz i wanted him to do it...yay for this saterday im finally goin to get a really cut agian lol. well back to your story i just wouldent do it its to much of a risk n shes putting way to much pressure on u.. it sounds like she wants a professional hair cut u kno the kind ppl go to school to learn how to do for years, n its not fair for her to expect that of you.. just cuz she got expensive stuff isnt going to make you any better.... %26amp; i hope that pic of the old man is a joke!!!!!

Get a refund from the equipment, then use it to take her to an expensive, proffesional stylist.

This sounds absolutely nuts! She has to know that she's going to get a freaky cut. She is making impossible requests. Are you even sure you want to deal with this? If you guys are into radical things, then give it a try. You could go to a local salon and watch for a while, but it isn't the same. My husband cuts my hair now, but he's been doing it for a while now. It started because we had no money. The first time was a wreck. It was gappy, didn't lay right, and he cut it too short. After lots of practice he has gotten better, but only at one style. I wouldn't let him attempt what your girlfriend wants. If I were you, I'd refuse. If you won't do that, make sure to warn her again and again that when her hair is a wreck, you told her it would be, and then still be ready to get ripped. Perhaps you could have one of her friends talk to her.
