My stylist fried my hair beyond fixing, what do I do?

I normally get low lights and high lights when I go into the salon. This last time, I wanted to go a bit lighter on top and alittle darker underneath. She put all my hair in foils and put bleach on it. She knew she had done something wrong because when I was under that dryer, she got on the phone to the salon owner for advice. My hair was toast. 4 to 5 inches of the ends were rubbery and curled up. I could pull it out in hand fulls. I didn't know what to do. She didn't know what to do. Of course, I was upset and crying. She phoned her boss a second time, told her boss it was bad. The stylist was very sorry. They gave me 6 reconstructive visits worth $60 and tube of heavy conditioner. I was in the salon for 4 and half hours. Normally I am only there for 2. I didn't know what to do. I tried my best to stay cool. She had been a stylist for 6 years!!!! I just figured I could trust her. What do I do? A free burnt job and some conditioner just doesn't cut it. Please help

go back to salon and tell them that what they gave you does not compensate. I wouldn't let them away with that. I 'd tell them if they don't come up with something better then you are going to seek legal advice.

Lawsuit is the only other thing. See an attorney.

I would sue for damages, or go there and seek out monatary compensation for her negligence.

Hot oil and deep conditioning treatments are in order. Also, make sure she didn't burn your scalp skin. If you scalp is red, she may have burned it too. Try not to wash your hair, use leave in conditioners

I'm sorry

Is any of it salvageable? Do you mind short hair, because you can get it cut really short and just let it grow out. Otherwise, you could get extensions (they will actually let your hair grow on its own, too, so it can get healthy), but they would have to match your base color. My long-time hairdresser recently colored my hair a very wrong color and then cut it too short (maybe they get tired of us, I don't know), so for a little while I just pulled it back tight and wore a fake ponytail in a similar color. You can get them cheap on the internet (but they are nice, too), or at some beauty supply places. If they have the separate combs to attach them, all you need is a tiny little bit of hair to attach them in. Or, you could wear a wig or hats or turbans or scarfs (my mom is a cancer patient, she has lots of those!), but it is summer and those are all hot to wear. I would go with the detachable ponytail.

you could actually do a lot of things such as you can make them do your hair back over but this time withsomeone new,or you can leave it like it is which you wouldnt want to do.

Cut most of it off and get hair extensions

First go to someone that is very trusted by someone else... see what can still be done for the less damaged areas.. you may have to go very short for a long time... that is the bummer about it.. good through different conditioners that are for damaged hair... some salons have a treatment conditioner that you might have to do for a long time .. like once a week... or go back to that salon, and trade in some of the $60 for the treatments.... if you have been going to this hair dresser for 6 years....and you have been happy with her... then see what she can do... she is propably wondering how she is ever going to be trusted by you again.... that's if you feel comfortable with her... go back... but especially for the conditioner treatments.... you really will need them.... also try to get de-fizzying formulas... that does help.. feeling your pain.... and hair mystery....

Keep doing the conditioning treatments. Maybe you can pull off a shorter style with shorter layers. You will need to cut the damaged part off. I think your stylist should give you free hair cuts until it looks better and at least looks like a style you like without any damage left. She should give you free service for about a year, hair grows about 6 inches a year. I'm totally feeling you, I'm going through hair drama my self and have been for a while now. I'm real sorry this happened to you. Take a look at some pictures of that actress Lisa Rinna and see if you like her hair, its's short ,but long enough to flip the layers out. Good luck
