Hairstylists always wanted to cut my long hair?

Okay, everytime I go to the salon to get a trim the stylist is always just let me play with it and make it shorter! And I'm like NO! But they just keep insiting! Why is that??? I finally gave in a few weeks ago for a few inches and they cut it just below my shoulders! I don't really care for it...at ALL! Why do they always want to cut your hair short?

hahaa story of my life. I used to have hair that came down to my butt and hairstylists would BEG me to let them cut it for years. Finally I gave in and let them cut it to my chin and I must say it looked AWESOME. It was just what I needed, it framed my face, made me look 4 years older, and altogether pulled together my look. This was more than a year ago and I still get compliments on how perfectly my hair suits me. Hairstylists know what they're talking about and they probably thought short hair would be good for you. I'm sorry you don't like it but it's just this thing they have, they love hacking at long hair.

But remember, hair grows back!

Nothing makes a huge change in someone's looks faster than hacking off a bunch of hair. Unfortunately, unless the owner of the hair is REALLY ready for that kind of a big change, I don't think it ever turns out well. That sort of shock is rarely good unless the client goes in asking for it. I succumbed to their wiles once. I'll never do it again. Give me a ponytail any day!

I'm an x hairdresser. they just want to show off their creative abilities at your hairs expense. they also want to make more money. keep saying no if that's what you want. you are the boss.
